I-O Data has recently rolled out their latest 8x external Blu-ray writer namely the BRD-UH8LE. Measuring 166mm x 240mm x 60.5mm and weighing 2.3kg, this portable drive features a 4MB of buffer memory and is able to provide write speeds of 8x for BD-R, 6x for BD-R LTH, 2x for BD-RE, 16x for DVD-R/ R SL, 12x for DVD-RAM, 8x for DVD-R/ R DL and DVD RW, 6x for DVD-RW, 48x for CD-R and 24x for CD-RW.
